inspired by nostalgia, Arwah is about the collection of memories that linger in the objects around us, bearing witness to our growth, joys, and darkest secrets. the song, “Jeritan Batinku” (My Inner Plea) by P. Ramlee romanticizes the emotions of these often forgotten, but ever-present household objects. photos…scriptures…praying mats…encapsulated within a mundane, conservative Malay-Muslim household amid prayers for the deceased.
